Phi Kappa Phi Annual Report Showcases Achievements of 2021

Baton Rouge, LA (04/21/2022) — The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, today announced the publication of its 2021 Annual Report.

The report, themed Lighting the Future, showcases a number of achievements of the past year made possible through the generosity of donors to Phi Kappa Phi. Because of this generous support, the Society was able to expand upon its mission in 2021 to recognize and promote academic excellence.

"We're proud to highlight some of our remarkable award recipients in this year's annual report. Their love of learning, focus on academic excellence and commitment to service embody the spirit of Phi Kappa Phi," said Society Executive Director and CEO Dr. Bradley R. Newcomer. "Despite the many challenges the pandemic brought to us over the past couple of years, our members continued to demonstrate their commitment to academic excellence and service to others through their donations and volunteer service. For that we are thankful as we continue our journey into a bright future."

Phi Kappa Phi was founded in 1897 when Marcus L. Urann, a student, brought to his professor the idea of creating a different kind of honor society - one that recognized excellence in all academic disciplines. Today, the Society has chapters on more than 325 select campuses in the United States, its territories and the Philippines and inducts approximately 25,000 new members each year. Membership is by invitation only to the top 7.5 percent of juniors and the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students, along with faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
