Phi Kappa Phi Announces Graduate Research Grant Recipients

Recipient Mitchell Nelson Lobo's university was incorrectly spelled. The correct spelling is MCPHS University.

Baton Rouge, LA (03/11/2024) — The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, today announced the recipients of its Graduate Research Grants. The grants of up to $1,500 are designed to support graduate students who are active Society members seeking funding for research in support of career development opportunities.

The 20 grant recipients include students spanning a number of academic disciplines:

  • Alexandra Lebron, Florida International University
  • Mitchell Nelson Lobo, MCPHS University
  • Daniel Manu, The University of New Mexico
  • Mahfuzul Nissan, University of New Orleans
  • Sagun Poudel, Virginia Commonwealth University
  • Naresh Sah, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
  • Michael Saunders, University of Michigan
  • Lenis Aislinn Separa, University of the Philippines
  • Zunaira Shoaib, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • Kaitlin Stober, Elon University
  • Louisa Tichy, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro
  • Hilda Torres, Texas State University
  • Sameeha Vardhan, Texas State University
  • Ellie Xu, University of Southern California

Established in 2018, the grants are part of the Society's robust award and grant programs, which currently give $1.3 million each year to outstanding students and members through study abroad grants, graduate fellowships, funding for post-baccalaureate development, member and chapter awards, and grants for local, national and international literacy initiatives.
